He explained the importance of celebrating World Population Day globally by community organisations, business groups and individuals in various ways. His argument focused on the impact of population on global environment through social and economic perspective. He urged not to suppress human rights as family planning and deciding upon the number of kids is an individual choice. He also stated to create wakefulness, make people aware of the benefits of having limited number of kids so that parents can give good upbringing to their kids and the girl child doesn’t have to compromise on the basic standard of living which includes food, clothing, shelter and education. He also stated that ‘You can think globally, but you act at local level’. He motivated students to have an ambition of creating a small garden or green space at home, and thereby increasing the proportion of environment in comparison to population.
